There is a solution for some people having a generic (cheap) USB controllers for their PC , many games don't support cheap USB controllers. These games require better controllers of big manufacturers.
If you cant own one, but you want to play those games with your controller then there is an easy solution, follow the steps :-
1. Connect Your USB controller to your PC.
2. You will need to identify the name of the USB Game Controller. For That got to Start > Control Panel > Game Controllers > Under the "Controller" column, remember the name of your Game Controller. I will give an example, let's call it "Cheap_Controller"
3. Now, open your registry editor, by going to Start > Run > type "regedit" without the quotes. (or just press WINDOWS+R.)
4. In the registry editor, navigate to the following path:
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\Me diaProperties\PrivateProperties\Joystick\OEM]
5. Under the OEM folder, there should be quite a number of Folders in there. Scroll down each and every one folder to look for the "OEMName" that matches your Game Controller, which in this case example is "Cheap_Controller". *Usually, it's the last folder under the OEM tree.
6. Once you have found the key, double-click on "OEMName", and change the value from "Cheap_Controller" to any of the Expensive (by top manufacturers) USB contorller's name.
7. Once you're Done, Now you can run the game.
Now you should be able to change your Control from "Keyboard" to "(your joypad's name)" which of course refers to your USB gamepad. Then go on to Gamepad to configure the buttons to your own preference.
